My Rv-8A will, every now and then, make an oil canning noise in the back that sounds like it's coming from the back baggage compartment. I talked to another builder at Oshkosh last year. He also had the problem and couldn't find it. Does anyone know what this is and know of a fix. Thanks. Matt

Some RV7's do the same thing... from the outside of the fuse you can push in on the fuse skin both sides and bottom (where most have idenified the issue) then proseal or rivet on a light 90 degree stiffener inside the fuse where you've identified the issue. Many have solved this issue with this method.
