Ive got oil canning on the side skins behind the baggage bulkhead.
(normal I guess) I swear I can hear from behind the 'humming' of the skin while in cruise.

I remember something in the Orndorf 'systems' video about gluing some
firm foam pads on the inside of the skins, if nothing else to buffer the noise.
As I recall, the foam pads were glued on at an angle and covered only a portion of the skin section. (to soften the harmonics or something)

Has anyone done this and does it work? I have some left over firewall noise/heat foam I could put on. I have seen the threads about adding stiffiners. Not going to do that. Didnt see any threads on the foam solution.

Used firewall insulation

I used left over pieces of firewall insulation to stop oil canning. I did this while building so I don't know if I would have any canning. I used can spray adhesive which didn't hold very well so some of the pads have dropped off. However I do not have any canning.
