My OAT sensor is suspect. It shows a temperature rise when I put a light bulb up to it in the hangar, but inflight, it doesn't change. It's a 3-wire type with a 3/16" or so bulb sticking through a grommet in the bottom of my wing. Are these pretty standard between manufacturers?

I may have an extra...

Dynon sent me an OAT probe with my EMS, and another one when I bought my EFIS. I only need one! I'll check it friday am when I get home from work - if it's a three wire, I'll give it to you.

I've noticed that GRT has changed probes over the past couple of years. They are all two-wire ones though. First one was a plastic-looking white tube. The current one is made of metal and is airfoil shaped, like a blade transponder antenna only much, much smaller.

There is no standard OAT probe. Even Dynon uses different probes depending if it is being connected to their EFIS or EMS.

Call the manufacture and find out what is the correct one.
