Yesterday on a flight form KRHV to KTUS @ 13,500 (~0C OAT), my fuel gauges, oil pressure, oil, temp, etc started to wander.

Oil pressure (indication), for example, went up to 100psi

Voltage was reading about 13.5V, whereas normally regulates about 14.1

I cycled the master switch, and everything came back to normal. However, soon the voltage started to drop and all the gauges began to wander.

Another cycle of the master switch fixed it.

Some observations:
Problem seemed to disappear when I started descending.
Problem seemed related to engine temperature, depending on my leaning

I think I have a voltage regulator problem that is affected by temperature or possibly by altitude. Though altitude doesn't make sense to me

Any thoughts or previous experience with this?

Do you have a stand alone voltage regulator or Plane Power alternator? I'd start by looking for loose connections. I've seen my Plane power alternator drop off line a couple times over the past 2 yrs. Never found a "smoking gun". Both times it came back on line after 2-3 min. I know it's a little un-nerving....
