I currently have a 320-E2G in my Grumman that looks like it will need some work due to low compressions, (e.g. new cylinders, inspection, etc).

I was wondering if this would be a good candidate for my RV-9A project? Then I could do the complete overhaul myself, (with help from experts of course), and put another E2G back into my Grumman.

Would there be any issues to consider with the E2G in an RV-9A?

Thanks,

If I remember correctly;

the O-320 E2G has the carb at the aft of the oil sump. This does not work with an RV, especially the "A" models. To use this engine, you will need to replace the sump with a "center" mounted carb.
