I have my eyes on a mid-time O-320 B3B removed from an Apache for horsepower upgrade. I know these were designed for use with a CS prop, but I plan to go fixed pitch. Is this engine easily modified to accomodate the FP prop?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Roger, you can use the engine with a fixed pitched propeller just by punching a relief hole in the crank's back galley plug and then installing a galley plug at the front of the crank.
If you are building a nose gear aircraft, you may have to change or swap out the oil pan for one that mounts the carburetor further forward (to clear the engine mount/nose gear).

E mail if you have any other questions as I am using this engine in my rv6a
