I'm not worried. Just scratching my head. I have a conical engine mount, and the four corner bolt holes are fine (just darn tight). But before I drill the two lower inboard holes, I noticed that one of the nutplates for the red cube seems to be interfering with the lower cross-tube of the engine mount. I've read elsewhere about how you normally have to shim these two inboard holes. But this seems different. This interference is also pulling forward the lower left corner bolt hole, which makes that bolt darn near impossible to full fit through.

At worst, I'll remove the nutplate. I'm not using a red cube - the EFII system has a converter sensor of its own. I'll probably just patch over the firewall hole with a steel plate or something. This seem okay, or should I be considering other avenues?

Scott,

I would remove nut plate and fill with rivet and bolt or
Stainless steel pop rivets.
