Has anyone had experience using non-ethanol auto fuel in an RV4 with an 0320E2D engine. How does it work? Any problems or suggestions.

No experience but

Have done a lot of research. Providing your engine is new enough to have the hardened valve seats (it probably does) then there should be no problem using 92 Oct auto fuel providing your compression ratio does not exceed 8.5:1.

My bet is that a 9:1 CR should be just fine too but I have not researched that specifically. I guess that means you need to do a little research if you have the 160HP motor.

Peterson aviation told me that the detonation margins on 89.5 Oct fuel were the same compared to 100LL...Note the 89.5 fuel was specially blended to show the FAA that there was some margin of saftey when using 92 octane fuel.
