Looking at purchasing a RV but the intial operating limitations stated no aerobatic manuevers done during testing and where it lists specific aerobatic manuevers none are listed.
What do you do to get that changed to allow aerobatic manuevers? or heaven forbid, do you not worry about the specific paperwork?
 
Your operating limitations should cover this.

It depends on when the op lims were issued. If they state that aerobatics are prohibited, you will need to have them amended.
If aerobatics are approved but simply not done as yet, then you can put the aircraft back into phase I for a minimum of 5 hours, test fly the maneuvers, and make the appropriate sign-off in the logbook per paragraph (19) of the op lims.
This assumes current edition of op lims.
