One of my other hobbies is shooting. I got tired of sticking foam plugs in my ears and or doning ear muffs. On and off. In and out. Can't hear what the spotter is saying.
I bought a set of these. Walker's Razor Slim Electronic... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AAH8CMA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They work great at the range but recently I discovered shop use.
I've started sanding with a random orbital connected to a vacuum. Very loud. I also run it near the hand sanding block. Dust is almost completely contained.
The headphones dampen the noise as expected but they also allow voices and with the stereo cable, I just listened to the EAA Webinars perfectly.
Yes, our flight headset will do it but do you really want to get a $900 headset covered in dust?
