My friend have an rv6 and want to install a new instrument that requiers installation of a magnetrometer in the wing tip on the first spar. What is the best way to rout the wiring? Do you have to remove the wing? Hope not. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Coloradoman

As to the wiring runs, the RV6 was not as per-fabricated as the newer models, so it is going to depend on how the builder did things.

There should be a wiring conduit behind the main spar, with the tip lights in it.

With any luck, you can add the new wires to the existing conduit.

I put the magnetometer in my 7 on the turtleback under the fairing there... That would be easier to wire-up after the fact.
