We are now producing replacement inspection covers for the aft fuselage on your RV-8 made of Lexan?.
They are $30.00 each and come drilled and countersunk for flush screws.

You can also find a reference to these in 27 Years of the RVator on page 105.

That is a great idea,
I was thinking about doing this for my own plane. Nice to see someone comercializing it.
Now we can ask, when will you do a lexan inspection cover for the bottom of the wing? hey! we are always wanting more :D

(Note : I also see on your website that your are selling gun sight. Maybe it is a stupid question but is it an electrical device? or is it working with the sun light?)

Are the covers structural?

There has been discussion of lexan inspection covers over the years and as I recall Vans has never liked this idea due to the structural loads in fuse and wing skins. I certainly don't want to discourage an entrepreneurial effort, but has this idea been run by Vans lately?

I put a small lexan window in the standard cover that was just big enough to shine a light into the cavity and see the bolt.
