I've been looking at Guy's website this morning (http://websites.expercraft.com/geprevo/index.php?q=log_entry&log_id=14158) and I'm harbouring a suspicion that the design of the undercarriage fitment on the new matched-hole RV-8 fuselage kits has changed. Now I'm worried that the Grove airfoil gear legs I just ordered may no longer be suitable. Anyone know anything about this? Feeling worried

Cheers,

Jeff,

I was wondering the same thing and this is the reply I got from Vans:

The -1 Fuse does use the same gear legs/brackets as the earlier
fuse kit.

I'm going to order the Grove gear in the next batch, but you should be OK as well.

Weldment

Where does that big scary looking weldment come into it then, do you think? Looks like it takes a tubular gear leg, doesn't it?

Grove Gear and the PrePunch

Hi guys,

My grove airfoil gear arrived last week. I am assemblying the gear towers so I flipped them over to check out the fit. Like a glove. So, no worries about the issue.

Excellent, thanks for that Michael. All the extra stuff I ordered from various other companies is now sitting at Vans, so hopefully my fuse kit will leave as planned on 29th Jan. I just spent the last three hours sweeping out and washing down the workshop ready for it. Even though it won't arrive until mid-March.
Cheers,
