New from Trig: Panel Mounted Comm Radio
?The TY91 list price is expected to be around $ 2,000 and the high performance TY92 list price will be around $ 5,000. There?s a demand in the market for a VHF radio to match our best selling TT21 and TT22 transponders, so we expect to see them in all sorts of gliders, light sports and GA airplanes soon?. The TY91 and TY92 will be available from Approved Trig Dealers, shipping is expected to commence in July 2012.

(TY91 is 12 volt 6W unit, TY92 is 16W 28 volt unit)

Will it be the next addition to the Dynon Skyview?....

Perhaps with a different control head - Dynon has already said that future additions to Skyview that need a separate control head will have 1.8" wide x 3.5" tall dimensions. They still won't tell us what devices are "in the works" besides the comm radio, but they have told several builders to save real estate in the panel for as many as 3 of those size control heads for future use.

"We are working with Trig, but the radio is not the same and we don't have details to announce yet. Trig announced their radio at the AEA show which is traditional for certified products, and they are a ways from shipping anything."
