I am searching for a Mil Spec or similarly authoritative standard (ANSI, ASME, IFI) for the proper installation of tubular and semi-tubular rivets--like the rivets we use to attach our brake pads/linings. I don't need to know how to replace the pads. I need a technical standard. It's a long story . . .
I am familiar with MIL-R-47196A(MI) 6 September 1977. It applies to ?buck type? rivets. I see nothing in MIL-R-47196A describing an acceptable clinch for a semi-tubular rivet. So, my thought is that MIL-R-47196A does not even apply to semi-tubular rivets. Is that right?
