I decided to mount my new Catto 3 blade prop this weekend and have hit a snag almost as soon as I started. I am not a builder, so I get frustrated and lost quickly. The back plate pre-drilled holes on my Vans spinner, are not drilled straight. Is this normal? The spinner's drilled holes, seem to be even. What should I do? My first thought is send it back to Vans for a replacement.

Does the spinner come with the backplate?
They may be drilled together which would key the spinner to the backplate. Holes would be off together and spinner would still turn true.
Hartzell metal spinners and backplates are drilled together and keyed and marked as such so I would not be surprised if this was the case on yours as well.

That is what I thought, but I did not find a mis-drilled hole on the spinner. I will check again.

Thanks
