We are just finishing up an R and D project for a really neat aftermarket door lock for the rv-12.
We aren't ready to release pictures yet, but are working with a beta tester...however, I need to confirm a dimension off of some other builders' aircraft to make sure that what we have done will work within the spec and tolerances of other aircraft.
We need a dimension on the canopy handle. What we need is the exact gap from the bottom of the canopy handle to the top of the plastic on the canopy. In addition, I know that Van's allows a small amount of play in there. The # needs to be obtained with the handle in the "resting" position. In addition, we need confirmation that there is no more than about 1/16" of play in the upward direction.
Thanks in advance to everyone.
Have a great evening,
Steve
P.S. Anyone who responds to this question and chooses to purchase this lock will be entitled to free shipping when we release it.
