Trying to adjust the or turn off the side tone because the sound back to the headset during transmit is too loud. I have followed the manual and "side tone" doesn't come up while scrolling the system menu!

Any help will be much appreciated!!

Per the SL30 Installation Manual:

Sidetone Level Adjustment
The sidetone volume was preset at the factory to a typical audio level. The level can be adjusted using one of the built-in system functions. To adjust the sidetone level:
1. Press SYS, rotate the large knob to the COM RADIO INFO: page, and press ENT.
2. Rotate the large know to the SIDETONE LEVEL: page.
3. Rotate the small knob to adjust the sidetone level. The sidetone level is displayed in a range of 1 to 100, and variable. The sidetone level can be adjusted during transmit.

I had mistakenly entered the sys on start up and not the one here... re-reading helped take care of that one!

considerably more to them than what meets the eye!!

Now attempting to connect the SL30 to the Tru Trak EFIS SG and can't find where the language is specified. There are only 3 choices and didn't seem any of them worked today. The serial option was mentioned in one post but not as a direct answer....
