Does anyone have a source for the plastic used for sun visors? I want to make my own since a set of Rosen's is way more than I want to spend.

AIN Plastics

Webb,

At my company, we buy a lot of plastic from AIN Plastics. I know for a fact that they sell many different shades of tinted polycarbonate.

They'll work but

Yes, they'll work but I'm feeling cheap right now after the holidays. I'm looking for the tinted plexiglass or polycarbonate so I can cut my own. I have seen pictures of a pair mounted by using the center post as the attach point. Building the friction mount on the center post would be the biggest challange.

I'm in builders withdrawal. A good set of visors might just give me a temporary fix.

You might want to try the flexible, statically stick on type. These are called something called "limo shade", or some such name, and can be found at car parts stores. Cut to size and slap on wherever necessary. I've folded mine double when flying directly into a setting sun, work great.
