I am in the process of making up a carbon fiber lower vertical stab fairing on my 7 with the larger rudder. Could someone please post a measurement from the bottom of the front of fairing to the tailwheel rod/spring bar/whatever you want to call it. This can be on an old rudder also as what I am looking for is enough space so the spring action of the round bar will not hit the fairing when I bang the **** out of the tailwheel on A (only one.....yea right) hard landing. Just don't want to crack the fire out of my new fairing.

No, I don't want to just drop the boat from shoulder height as a test:)

after posting I didn't even say a bad word:) but one sure might be appropriate.

Zero Current

Mine is Zero on the ground, though there seems to be a miniscule gap inflight. see pic.

My Mate was an interference fit and he had to notch the fairing to accommodate the tailwheel support rod.
Pete.
