I'm New Here
I hit a buzzard on final and severly dented the left(pilots) fuel tank. No leaks yet, but............ I don't weant to build one myself. Van's does not make premade anymore and has exhausted stock on left tanks. Help !!! Anyone out there have a new built one or ???

If your quest for a tank purchase falls on deaf ears your ??????? option may be your only hope.

The tank isn't all that tough to do. I had much trepidation when I started my tank build....but....it was not as bad as I thought. It had it's moments but overall not too bad.

You could probably also find a person to build you a tank for a few $$$$$$$$$$$$$.......or a good Samartian......This may be the best route if you don't have the build tools. Also your local EAA probably has a builder willing to help in your quest.

Evan built 2 new tanks for my RV-6.......no problems....good work.
He had me order parts from Vans and had them shipped to him.
He built the tanks and shipped them to me.
He doesn't do it overnite....and guess he may have a backlog,
but call him........he is a very nice guy.

I used Evan too and would do so again in a heart beat! Excellent workmanship.
