I believe I have seen a neat and cosmetically pleasing way of attaching the horizontal hinge pin to the cowl but have not found the supplier on the web. Can any one give me a good method or perhaps a web site of a good way to do this. I have thought of pulling the pins from the cockpit side, but it creates extra work to remove the cowl, sealing issues, etc. All thoughts are appreciated. Carl
 
Also on Van's web site are links to other builders projects. Check out Dan Checkoway and Walter Tondu, both listed under RV7 /7A, for some alternate hinge pin attach options. Van's SS pin described by Scott is the way I went...
