I wonder if there is a way for you to offer a subscription through amazon for a "Kindle edition" of the plates.

There are a number of newspapers, blogs, and monthly magazines that already do this.

Amazon normally charges I think 10 cents a page to convert PDFs onto the Kindle, but i wonder if they would be interested in a volume discount for these. Since there are no copyright issues and the process could be automated I think there is a good business model for offering the plates at a couple of bucks per 28-day cycle.

Cost-effective 28-day updates would be extremely cool ;-)

I just emailed an approach plate to my Kindle, and the format is completely screwed up. Unfortunately not useful.
