Since I didn't get overwhelming support about how to cover the antennas on my glare shield I had to go it alone. (some tried to help and I thank them) I figure I would post my fab experience to give others ideas of how to finish theirs. It is not the most cost effective, not the most effecient, but I am happy with the result.

This is what I started with. Definately did not compliment the nice Classic Aero interior. I also wanted to cover the very uneven and unsightly pro-seal.

I purchased the Classic Aero glare shield edge/trim piece and extra fabric to cover the antenna farm.

First step, make a template out of pliable posterboard.

I used this YouTube tutorial on how to make the template.

Then transfer your template to thin roof flashing (home depot).

It may take several dry fits and tedious trimming to get it just right but it should look like this when you get it dialed in.

I then used 1/2" foam from the local fabric store and adhered it to the flashing using spray adhesive. Then carefully cut to shape.

The heat made us call it quits for the day and I flew home with the green glare shield. Once home I was able to have a few beers to cool off and I just had to continue. I used more spray adhesive to wrap the foam with the Classic Aero upholstery. Here is the finished product. (Please forgive thise finished photos, my camera broke and I had to use the cell phone.)

You can see the bulge of the Garmin antenna...it is just too thick to hide but I don't think it looks too bad.

I'll add better finished pics when my new camera arrives!!

It also helps to have a helper bringing you tools and a helping hand once in awhile. Thanks Vlad!!

If someone is going to use this method - which looks great! - you can save a little weight by putting lightening holes in the aluminum flashing.

Outstanding

Very nice Tony. I've been shoving that antenna farm problem way back in my head because I couldn't come up with a good idea to conceal it. Got one now! :D Thanks
