I had just landed from my first flight in the US! It was my first lesson on C172 at KISM and in USA (I have 29 hours on DA40 back home)
So? What does this have to do with RVs and VAF?
Well during the preflight I saw a shiny yellow RV (6 or 7 I guess) landing on 33 and instinctively I stopped the instructor to look at it
When we were holding short he was behind us as number 3. After takeoff and when we were flying downwind I was looking around maybe I will be able see it taking off and forgetting about the instructor who was flying.
I wish I could have taken pictures but I know that is a bit over the edge
