Anyone have experience with the GDL-69A and the MX-20 setup?
I fired up the GDL-69 for the first time last night and I'm not sure if there is anything wrong or not but heres a little info if someone has input.
The Mx-20 interfaces perfectly with the NAV and GPS, they show up as good input on the system screen on port 1, and port 2.
I installed the GDL-69 on port 3 but it shows no input from that device, is there a setup process for the MX-20 that I'm missing to enable that port? or does is normally find the data stream as is is recieved? I don't have the XM service yet but I was waiting to get closer to flying before starting the subscription. I was hoping to be able to at least confirm it is operating OK before paying for the subscrition.
Pin checks show:
There is power to the unit
The shielded data wires from the two units cont. ck good
No shorts to shields or ground on data wires
This is a refurbished unit, so I have that unknown factor but it's from a good dealer.
Any thoughts on this?
