How have y'all managed to isolate your music input jacks for your audio panels? I've been using a radio shack 1/8" panel mount jack for my Garmin 340, but it picks up strobe noise unless I remove it from the panel.
Is there a 1/8" jack with a barrel long enough to accept isolation washers and still fit through the panel? And are there 1/8" isolation washers? I can't find either.
A 1/4" jack with a 1/8" adaptor would be acceptable if I could find one of those with isolation washers.
What's the solution?

What you want is a Calrad 30-711. Available from a number of sources, check Google.

Snaps into your panel in a 1/2" hole (check this dimension, it's from memory).

thanks, Vern. The calrad site doesn't say so, but I assume the 3 connector model is for stereo.

You can use the 3 conductor for stereo. I've also used the 4-conductor 2.1 mm version for smart phone (stereo audio + mic+ground). They are also useful for RS-232 panel ports (gozinna, gozoutta, ground).
