C cubdriver Well Known Member Oct 21, 2012 #2 Spacer Yu might want to consider the spacer on the firewall. I moved my engine forward 3/8" and did it that way.

scsmith Well Known Member Oct 21, 2012 #3 spacers to shift engine forward Yes, it is structurally better to put spacers between the engine mount and the firewall. That way, all the loads in the engine mount stay the same.
