I'd like to mount a garmin X96 so the wife has something to do when she tires of giving me neck massages.... :)

I've looked at a few different scenarios, either something clamping to the seat back of the front seat or better yet the bar that supports it (the exact name of the part escapes me).

With all the cool mounting systems that are out there (ie like the RAM mounts), I'm hoping someone has found some cool hardware to do this with that doesnt look to temporary or klugey. Some units can clamp to the round tubing well. Or I could fab up something with sheet metal.

Any cool ideas/photos?

I have the Classic Aero seats and could not use Paul's idea. I used two
adel clamps around the seat back upper brace, attached a small plate
to the clamps and then attached the Garmin mount to the plate. Simple
and effective. Will try and find a picture and post it.

Back seat GPS mounting - RV8

Similar mounting as Paul's. I ended up using a Gizmo box and mounted lower on the front seat back. Started with it wider for another instrument but it was in the way for back seater getting in and out.
