On a description of Royco 782 Hydraulic fluid, it says "ROYCO 782 is compatible with petroleum-based fluids and all components used in mineral oil type hydraulic systems."

Does this mean that there is no harm with topping up my brake reservoir with regular brake fluid like Aeroshell Fluid 41, even though my brake system was previously filled with Royco 782?

My understanding is that you can mix Mil Spec 5606 brake fluid with Mil Spec 83282 brake fluid, which is the newer stuff with a higher flash point. I don't know if the products you are mentioning comply with these Mil Specs. If they do, I think you're fine to mix them.
