Greetings,
My son and I attended the Mid-Atlantic Fly-in at LBT (Lumberton, NC) today.
I roughly estimate the attendance at 9,000-ish.
Sunny weather, and excellent planes to drool at.
(Skip and Bulldog put on a spectacular display of airmanship skills)
All the others were great too... but, Skip and Bulldog wowwed the audience.
The only letdown was.. no jets showed up.
(I missed the smell of Jet-A and the ear drum roll)
Also, there was virtually no turn out of the usual vendor builder displays.
Not sure what happened there
I visited 16 RVs that were tied down.
Which made it a definate worthwhile trip..
(and YES, before you ask, I have pictures below)
In honor of the diehard VAF forum members, I wore my VAF hat and shirt.
Several RV pilots that we talked to complimented my pink VAF Noseart shirt.
(and inquired into the website forum,, hopefully they will visit and become part of the community the Doug Reeves has blessed us with)
PICs are stored at;
