We have released the long awaited autopilot firmware upgrade for the MGL XTreme EFIS.
It is based on the well proven autopilot firmware contained in the larger MGL EFIS systems - now including several cirumnavigations and countless long distance flights.
The AP in the XTReme can control two MGL servos (roll and pitch).
Setup and use is virtually identical to our larger EFIS systems.

Current functionality includes heading bug / altitude bug as well as GPS waypoint navigation (using the internal GPS of the XTreme).
The AP is also able to climb/descend to set altitudes (selected with the altitude bug).

We will add support for NMEA so external navigation sources supporting this protocol can also be used shortly.

Firmware update can be downloaded at www.MGLAvionics.co.za as usual.
