Pilot mic level for Tx works good. Rx works good. There is a loud background noise in the Tx on reciver end. They say it sounds like " no squelch" noise.

Instructions are confusing to me, VOGAD vs VOX vs HOT MIC ! Can anyone help me solve this ?

Read pages 13-15 in manual/ info,..then experiment

The multitude of settings is confusing,... Practice getting in and out of menu and settings

And there is a preferred sequence of setting mike and noise level. Unfortunately i do not recall what is preferred.

Recommend first trying to set mike level,....notice bar,.. When talking

Then,.. Engine running,..more than idle,..set noise cancel,... START WITH RECOMMENDED Vogad Med.. Then adjust as necessary in that range,.. Might need to use another range,...but doubt

Read and heed the note/warning in second paragraph on vogad,....wrong mic setting will allow noise

Radio can be very sensitive to mic position,.. During setting and operation,..keep it close

Keep trying,... Write it down when you get it right
