I just landed my RV-4 in under a measured 300'. I used to land my RV-3 like that, but I hadn't really gotten the knack in my RV-4 till today. For some reason, I want to fly it faster than it needs. Anyway, the key was to really drag it in low and slow 55kts, I chopped throttle over the threshold and aimed for a solid 2-pt. The wheels met without bounce and I nailed the brakes. It slowed down so fast, I couldn't believe I didn't even make the hold short for the crossing runway. WOW!

Did I mention it's wet and slushy... oh yeah, and the pavement isn't even that smooth, and I probably could have made it even shorter if I had tried a few more times. Vans designed a real winner.
