OK, I give up. My RV8 plans call for MD-42-BS rivets in the ends of the trim tab and elevator. I don't have any such rivets and haven't been able to find them in the parts list :(

Anybody know what these are? Aircraft Spruce catalog has a number of simiar listing, but none fit the exact criteria. Assume its a 1/8" protruding head, 1/8" long, either Aluminum (or unlikely Monel), based on the ACS catalog.

The good news is that 4 1/2 years after getting the kit, I'm almost done with the tail  Is that a record? Most of the rest of the fuselage and wings are done - they were more fun....

My plans show CS4-4 on the tab and MSP42 on for the elevator. However, I believe the MSP42 are round heads, I dimpled and use the countersunk blind rivets for mine so nothing protrudes. IIRC, the skinny side of the tab, there is not much room for two rivets as showen on the plans. I believe I used a MK-319-BS flush blind rivet for the aft most one due to its smaller size.
