The master cylinders are attached on one end with Clevis pins and on the other end with bolts and castle nuts. There is no mention of torquing of the castle nuts in the instructions but it seems that the brakes operate more smoothly if the nuts are left almost loose. As the nuts can be blocked with cotter pins there is no risk of losing them, however I have some doubts and would like to have some advice from those who have "been there, done that".
Thanks

Be there done that

You are correct. Keep them loose which allows a slight pivot on the bolt by the master cylinder. I had mine too tight and the master cylinder wouldn't fully release and therefore had a dragging brake. Steve

Thank you Steve, I thought that there was no logic in having one end rotating freely with a clevis and the other end tightly fastened with the nut. I think this should be pointed out in the instructions lest people experience what you did with your brakes, a bad way to start flight tests.
