I have a FP and my initial climb is around 90%+ power (2500/27 or 28). I would like to figure out my peak EGT in this configuration, but I prefer not to lean it to peak with that much power to figure it out.
I have noticed that my PEAK EGT temp is higher at 2700 than 2500 and that makes sense. I am wondering if the MAP also affects peak EGT temp.
If I find my peak EGT at 2500 and 75% power, can I safely assume that my peak EGT at 2500 and 90% power is the same? Or do I need to lean to peak in that configuration to truly determine the Peak EGT temp?
Thanks,
Larry
