On the brake calipers, I use the standard AN-7 bolt torque (around 70 in/lbs IIRC).
axle...thx gents. may just ship all my wheels off to get the bearing mod accomplished. uncertain at this point. while i have you...does the wheel have to come off to get at the brake pads? matco assy. thxAxle nut: (from Timken Bearings)
To adjust the setting of this bearing:
Step 1: Tighten the nut while turning the hub. When there is
a slight bind on the bearing, the parts are seated correctly.
Step 2: Back the nut off 1/6 to 1/4 of a turn or sufficiently to
allow .001? to .007? end play.
Cleveland brake caliper specs: 65-75 in/lbs dry.
