After torqing the big AN6-24 bolt that holds the inboard end of the Main gear legs to specs, the bolt can still be turned, indicating I'm up against the shoulder. Is this "normal" or should I add a second wasfer under the nut??

Thanks

I think I remember a note recently about using a hammer to "seat" the bolts from the top. That will help get it into final position.

You should not need another washer. t Van's advised me to use a hammer to make sure the bolt is securely seated. They said there is enough friction in the bolt hole that you can achieve the correct torque, but the bolt is not seated.
