Hello. I have concern of keeping my battery above freezing, in certain conditions. What is available for this protection? Some sort of low voltage, light weight matt that can stay with the craft? Thx, DM

It gets pretty cold here. We've seen -48F. My home and hangar run on stacks of batteries. I've never seen a charged battery freeze. A dead one sure will.

Corollary to that - once it freezes, it's dead now!

ok, was not aware that if it was charged well, it would be ok. i just didn't want to create more expenses...

Stick a 100w light bulb in the cowl exit, works evry time. Better yet, one of those oil filled radiators on "low".

Drywalled ceiling, insulated and now no worries of freezing "anything"!!
