As I am flying my new plane more and more and learning about all the different appropriate operating indications like oil temp and fuel pressure and whatnot, I realize I don't know anything about the oil system. Can someone describe to me all the components that make up the full system and what they are responsible for? Thing like the oil cooler, and any pressure relief valves or screens and the like.
My oil pressures seem to be in the green so to speak from all that I have read on the subject, but as the weather and temperature have changed into the Fall, I am seeing slightly different pressures. I would like to be able to evaluate what I am seeing.
I am going to begin logging my pressures at various stages of flight and then I might like to have a second conversation. I have an Aerosport Power O-375 with a filter.
