I'm rebuilding a 540. My stock intake tubes clamps, after bead blasting, look like they had a little corrosion or some erosive condition. They are just cast parts and 2 of the 6 look quite pick-me-up.
Is it something I should be concerned with? There are no cracks and I have no reason to believe the part won't work as required.
I found an experimental replacement here: http://m.pilotshop.com/catalog/appa...8nEAYIBcl_3BEAJw3NqPLMw877MN3ajgaAkO3EALw_wcB
But while it promises a good seal, that's 300 bucks I could easily use elsewhere. Just curious what others' experience with intake clamps.
