The illustration used was a crankcase for an IO360 dropping in price from $17k to $5k. Yep, that is slashing the price. $17k for a crankcase. Must have cut out the gold plating.
 
Wow. That's pretty impressive. Wonder what the price of Cyl. assemblies are these days.
 
Just aggressive marketing, they raised the prices a while back when they could get it, the revenue must be shifting to other will fit parts. Gotta kill that competition, drive them high, drive-em back low.

This will be a good opportunity for the Barretts (and others) to build a lower cost engine.
