A couple of us from the Cameron Park and Lincoln EAA chapters are working on having a weekend LSRI class in the Sacramento area. This is the 2-day class that allows you to do your own condition inspection ("annual") for any homebuilt or ELSA that you own now or in the future. You do not have to own one to take the class. Date to be determined but hoping in the next couple of months. The cost is $750. Message me if interested.

Unfortunately, you won't really learn how to maintain it. You will learn some of the things to look for during a condition inspection. And how to make proper logbook entries. You will learn more about how to legally inspect. But there's a 120 hour course if you want to learn how to maintain

Coincidentally, I just met with an FAA inspector today and got my temporary certificate "Repairman (Inspection)" after taking the course last weekend in Buckley, WA! I'd have done it in Sacramento in a heartbeat!

I took my course in Buckley in April and am finally meeting with the FAA today for my certificate!! still haven't got my updated operating limitations yet. The Reno FSDO doesn't move that fast!

I did, and they were very responsive!
