so.....took the filter housing off to do a bit of fiberglass work. Seems it was about .75" off center from the Sam James Cowl intake ring. Upon removal I was a bit (actually a lot!) surprised to see that quite a bit of fuel had pooled up in there. It's an RV9 so it naturally is aimed down hill and turns the elbow of the induction tube into a sump. Oh, and, forgot to say it's vertical induction IO-360.
Has anybody else experienced this and, if so, what did you use as a drain? I was thinking about using one of those rubber tubes that has the end pinched closed but opens when squeezed.
Any other ideas?
