Looking for Suggestions; riveted the top aft fuse skin & empennage fairing attachment

Working on completing the fuselage and have riveted on the top aft skin. Now I stumble across the empennage fairing attachment and realize that the fairing use screws, hence the need for nut plates, on the F-709 bulkhead.

What are some options? I really do not want to drill out rivets (even though I become skilled at this) and then somehow get in there to install nut plates.

Or use pulled rivets. The rivets holding the nutplates in are not structural; they just keep it in place and don't let it rotate while the screw is inserted. Since they will be under the fairing, they also won't look ugly.

Thanks.

To be sure I understand, are you saying to install the nut plates rivets (std or pulled) thru both the skin and bulkhead?

Just reach in from back and buck after you fit faring

Yes, relatively easy to do. Use NAS rivets for nut plate and hold it in place with a flat head screw to center it. Drilling is your biggest challenge, but doable with the right tools.

Got it! Thanks all, saved by VAF again.

Now off to the shop to cut holes in my fuselage for the flap pushrods.
