I'm New Here
Hi,

can somebody recommend a good and certified mechanic or engine workshop?

got an O360 A4A that was overhauled in 1980, but without documents and therefore FOCA asks for inspection,

work to be done:
-needs to be disassembled, all parts checked and reassembled
-install new FI
- install 2 Pmag
- install new starter
- dyno test
- issue service tag

Thanks

Back and installed

Hi,

since some time, Engine is back from Zephyr Aircraft Engines and installed, looks great.

Just like to express my satisfaction for the recommondation and the great job from Zephyr,
Charlie allways took time to discuss best options for the overhaul:)

Overhauled O360 A4A , now with AFP FI and 2*Pmag

hope to start it up soon...........

I tend to use Quality Aircraft Accessories. Sales staff is great (especially Vanessa and Justin) and if you bypass calling them and order online, they ship free. qaa.com

Hope this helps!

Dyno test

Most shops do not have a dyno, so if you want a dyno test be sure to ask. I believe Barrett precision engines and Lycon aircraft engines both have dyno capability. With whoever does your dyno test, to ensure accuracy, make sure they use SAE net or equivalent protocol and correct the results for standard atmosphere. A dyno test that is not performed to a standard and then corrected for temperature and pressure differences isn't worth a lot...but is widely use in advertising. Good Luck, Russ
