I?m getting ready to start a build project. Probably an RV 8. Curious if there are any in my area I could have a look at and maybe ask a few questions.

Where are you located? There are some RV8?s in our EAA club and I have a friend who?s well along in his build. Check out EAA Chapter 75 in the Quad Cities.
 
Andrew, as my friend Rob stated, I am into the finish kit stage on my RV8 and know of several other (flying) RVs in our area. Send me a PM and I'll have you over to my shop.
