Josh, welcome to VAF! I am building a 7 and Greg Niehues is building a 9A, both of us in Garden City. Unfortunately neither of us is flying yet. I was able to coax a ride in a 7A from Walt Aronow in Fort Worth but I dont know of anyone local that has an 8. Good luck finding a ride but you may have to travel. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Josh - welcome to the Dark Side! If you want to take a peek under the skirts of a 7 or a 9 in progress, Mike and I both have one getting close to first flight. Unfortunately we can't help you with a flying bird just yet but I'm sure there are some others close by that can.
