Can anyone help with what the Feds expect to see with the aircraft, engine, and propeller log book entries? I know I'm supposed to enter something, but I don't know what. If someone could post their entries or point me to a source where these are spelled out, I'd appreciate it.

Engine & propeller logbooks should state total time, time since overhaul and date installed on this aircraft. If these items are not new, the original logbooks should be retained.
The airframe logbook should contain an entry stating that: "I certify that I built this aircraft for my own education and recreation. I have inspected it and consider it eligible for a special airworthiness certificate for the purpose of operating amateur-built aircraft under the provisions of FAR 21.191g."
I provide a pre-typed sticker with this statement for the applicant to sign and date.
